Abstract

Professional development in medicine is fundamentally related to person-centred principles in many ways. It is important for us to recognise and analyse this relationship, in order to find opportunities to improve medical education. Translating such opportunities into pragmatic suggestions should help promote excellence in medical education and enhance the professional standing of future physicians.
