Abstract

Günter Ammon’s Dynamic Psychiatry, since its introduction in the late 1960s, has always been a resource-oriented treatment theory and approach. The authors’ objective is to investigate the patients’ perception on and usefulness of the implementation of resource-oriented treatment in the psychiatric-psychotherapeutic practice of the Dynamic-Psychiatric Hospital Menterschwaige (Munich). The authors applied qualitatively and quantitatively structured questionnaires  to 47 patients of different diagnostic groups. The results showed that the resource-oriented work was well received, positively used and experienced by the participating patients. Person-centered care appeared significantly present in the hospital’s therapeutic approach.
