Abstract

This paper proposes that the adoption of a Biosocial/Psychospiritual model, and a relational Body/Mind/Spirit approach (RBMS) to health care delivery will encourage increased awareness of the contribution of religious belief and spiritual Practice to health care provision. Problems of definition are outlined. The writings of Paul Tournier and in particular his concept of Med├ęcine de la Personne (Healing of Persons) are considered and the educational challenges of these approaches briefly outlined.
